Death is not unique, its impact is!

A haunting full stop on one's existence where symphony of life fades away into frightening silence. It is most mysterious dance of shadows casting its delicate veil on fellow human beings. How ironic is death. It fears and frighten some on the other hand it facilitates some. It is bitter but sweet for some. It is a quick process from everything (suffering, pain, happiness, luxury, anger, fear, hope, relief, gratitude, loneliness, contentment, empathy, etc.,) to nothing. Everything shatters, everyone is left behind not even our shadow follow us.

As a child, I have always wondered what happens to us after death? Can we feel anything after death? Do we meet our loved ones after death? Are we allotted some special homes? After death are we finally allowed to meet our creator? Is there any procedure to meet him after death?  Or does this life and death cycle continues? If yes, then how to get rid of this cycle, do we have another option? I thought a lot about death until I became rational. After one becomes mature they do not wish to think about death, demise, martyrdom, decease, annihilation, expiration, perishing, obliteration as you may call it. Nobody thought about the recent pandemic too!

Some people constantly think about their future, more specifically about "death". Thanatophobia does exist. People are scared about their demise or their loved one's. The fear is so intense that one thinks about it at every single step. Imagine being on an escalator and thinking that it will collapse just yet. Imagine having fear of everything will collapse while you cannot move. Fear of being murdered while you are asleep. For the same fear you are unable to live every moment of your life completely. What fears the most is decease of any loved ones. Whenever the other person goes out, you are anxious that anything could happen to them. Maybe it's your last meeting with them. You do not intend anything wrong about them but you just fear. A state where you do not cry about it but it's just there. The fear of death is paralyzing.  Ever wondered about state of mind of an ambulance driver. They carry many patients, some at very critical state. The kind of pressure they have! What do they go through while carrying patients? Did they take up this job as passion? Do they blame themselves for any patient? How do they feel if any of the patient dies in their  ambulance?

During my recent visit to a village, I encountered a unique perspective on death that challenged my understanding of morality. In this remarkable community the notion to death held an intriguing normalcy. Out of every ten children only two would survive. However, what truly shocked me was the absence of rituals or no fear associated with death. The people there seem to embrace and accept death as integral part of life. This eye opening experience shed light on incredible adaptability of the human spirit in the face of life's most uncertain end.

Is death only for you or your family members? Per second almost two people dies, per month 4.6 million and per year almost 56 million. So, if we see on a global scale decease is not unique. "Death is not unique, its impact is! " When I say death is not unique I mean it is inevitable part of the human that we all shall experience. However, what sets death apart is its unique impact on each individual and those around them. The way in which death affects us is deeply personal and varies from person to person. Each person's experience with it is shaped by their own beliefs, emotions and relationships.

In this art of life there exists a thread known as death - a mysterious and thought provoking aspect of life. From childhood curiosity to mature contemplation we find ourselves pondering about mysteries that lies beyond our mortal existence. While some find death as trepidation others find it peaceful.  Either you fear or see it as release one truth remains unchanged : Death is inevitable part of one's life. However, its impact on individual sets it apart. Whether you  like it or dislike decease, it comes after you!
