Do we really see the world as it is?
" Facts have been discovered by observation , not by reasoning. "
I may not understand observation as it is but, I surely feel the way it is. And if you get through this blog you will feel the same about observing .
Observation is usually termed as act of using our senses, instruments or tools together to collect information about a phenomenon . Scientists say it is systematic! Folk, for few minutes let's forget our rational qualities and get together in this blog and explore our observing skills. Because even if you do not think rationally we will be able to observe better!Remember, observation without rational thinking always leads to interesting insights. Okay, you aren't getting it but let me give you an example. Poets out there , what do they do? Observation. Writers out their what do they seek? Art of observing. Lyricist? Artist? Animators? What is literature mostly about? Observation without, rational thinking.
Observation without being rational has two other sub-division, I may call it ! Our emotions and intuition plays an important role on how we will observe. Emotions influence our perception of reality, how we observe and what we interpret. Intuition and gut feelings are often described as a kind of "sixth sense" that can provide us with insights or information beyond what our rational mind can perceive.
You know, with observation we can better experience this world. A sense of accomplishment is cultivated after we start observing. To experience the world as it really is this skill is really important . Let's dive deep into our observing skills. When you go out into the beautiful world. Initially, you may not find something good about it. But gradually ,when you stop your rational thinking you will achieve the skill . Firstly, stop thinking about your worldly problems or pleasures. Do it best while travelling. Sit peacefully and as your journey begins gaze at your surroundings. There may be some worried faces or some happy faces or even weeping faces. Some must be worried about their future or money or comfort, or maybe peace, anything we never know! Some must be happy because of promotion or achievement or eating their favourite dishes. We never know what is going around but we can soak in their negativity and provide positive vibes around. The construction worker, rikshaw puller, the driver, businessman, kids, pregnant ladies in the park, the sweeper and every being ! Then we see dogs, cats or other animals. God knows what they are suffering. Did they have food to eat? Who assures they were not molested? Nobody, right?
What about the things, non-living ? Each instrument depicts some pain, grief, anger, pain, anguish, happiness, joy. Anything! Literally anything!
So , take some insights from this blog. Next time you go out into the world thinking that it is full of horror, hate, and negativity. Observe!
Ask yourself a question - Are you really seeing the world as it is?
